How often are the spiritual circle courses run?
The courses are not scheduled on a fixed timetable. Once there is sufficient demand the teacher will contact the people who have expressed interest and let them know when the course will run.

Is religion an issue when joining a spiritual circle?
No. Spiritual progression runs parallel to any and all belief systems (including agnostics).

Is it necessary to have had some kind of spiritual or psychic experience in order to join a circle?
No. Previous spiritual experience is not necessary. Our spiritual circles are designed to range from beginners upwards.

What is spiritual development?
Put simply, this means the development not of your physical or mental self, but your spirit. Refer to the page about the

There are many levels of meditation. The methods of meditation are one of the main areas that a spiritual circle deals with. There are many sources of guidance for meditation (for example for Yoga type relaxation). Meditation at its higher level, as a method for gaining input and guidance, is an area that will require the guidance of a spiritual teacher.

If there are good and bad spirits, am I safe in meditation?
The spiritual circle is a controlled environment. The teacher in charge of the circle is responsible for the connection that the members of the spiritual circle may have with spirit. Additionally, you will be taught how to close yourself down to spirit as a self-defence mechanism.

What should I do if I feel uncomfortable or scared during a circle?
You will be taught mechanisms for self-protection, and as with any problem or worry (concerning the circle), you should speak to the teacher as soon as possible. If it is a serious issue then you may need to talk to the teacher during the circle, or you may wish to discuss it afterwards.

Is this some sort of cult?
Absolutely not. Spiritual progression is about progression on your own path, not someone else's. At the end of the spiritual circle course we expect you will leave, and apply what you have learnt in the circle to your own life.

Are there age restrictions on who can join a circle?
There is a minimum age limit of 18. This is due to the fact that you are legally responsible for yourself and are considered to be an adult.

What happens if I have to miss a session?
If you missed 1 week of the course then we should be able to make up the missing information. However, if you had to miss more than 3 weeks out of the 10 week course then we would suggest you book a course at another time (where your schedule is more likely to allow you to attend all of the sessions). If you need to miss sessions because of work commitments then you should discuss this with the teacher.

Will I have to pay for any sessions that I miss?
Yes. The circle course is payable in advance as a complete course (for 10 weeks).

What happens if I am late for the start of a circle session?
If you are able to let the teacher know that you are running slightly late, then it may be possible that the opening of the circle can be delayed a bit for you. Obviously this cannot be a regular occurrence, and for the fairness of the other circle members the start can only be delayed by a few minutes.

Can I attend one circle course directly after another?
At The Way we generally recommend that you take a break between circle courses in order to digest what you have learned before moving onto another circle course.

Who is in charge of the circle?
The person in overall charge is John (spiritual name Two Johns).

I have a disability, is that a problem?
It is unlikely to be a problem.
Depending on the nature of your disability you may need to discuss your needs with the teacher before the course.

I feel I was on my path in the past, but due to a range of circumstances, I am no longer sure. What should I do?
In this instance you should talk to the teacher before starting a circle course.
